Mental Health Crisis Worker * Female-only Position* * Temp-to-Perm Opportunity * Based in Central, East, North or South Bristol * £14.01 PAYE / £18.05 Umbrella per hour Are you passionate about helping women through mental health crisis and empowering them to recover and thrive? Client Snapshot: A rewarding opportunity has opened with an established Bristol-based charity, delivering housing and mental health support to women experiencing homelessness, trauma, and complex needs. You’ll join a highly skilled, values-driven Crisis Team, operating as part of the wider Mental Health Bristol Partnership — a collaboration between voluntary and NHS services, including Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership (AWP). Vacancy Brief: * Full-time, 37.5 hours per week * Shifts include early, late, and occasional waking nights and weekends (1 in 3) * £14.01 PAYE / £18.05 Umbrella per hour * Salary: £26,132 – £26,861 per annum * Female-only position* – due to the nature of the client group * Based across Central, East, North or South Bristol * Candidates must have access to a car and hold a full UK driving license * You will be seconded into the Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership (AWP) and supported by a trauma-informed, psychologically informed practice. * Enhanced DBS required (Adult Workforce) Key Responsibilities: * Provide timely and compassionate crisis support to individuals in acute mental distress * Build positive, collaborative relationships with service users * Co-produce and implement crisis/recovery plans, including WRAP tools * Collaborate with families, social care teams, and partner agencies * Advocate for and safeguard women with complex needs, including trauma and domestic violence * Maintain accurate case records and prioritise caseloads * Promote inclusive, strengths-based recovery practices within a multi-agency setting What We’re Looking For: * Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs or complex life circumstances * Skilled in risk assessments, crisis intervention, and strength-based planning * A calm, compassionate communicator who thrives under pressure * Knowledge of safeguarding, domestic abuse, and trauma-informed care * A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle If you’re seeking a flexible route into permanent mental health work with a respected women’s organisation — and you’re passionate about empowering others through crisis and recovery — we’d love to hear from you. *This post is open to female applicants only, as permitted under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.
