Client snapshot: I am currently recruiting for an organisation specialising in support for those who have homelessness and mental health support needs – their work is certainly well recognised as they continue to expand all over the UK. Having recently expanded upon services within Warwickshire, they are currently looking for Housing Support Workers to help contribute to the high-quality service they provide to those in need.

Vacancy Brief:

  • Our client is seeking a Lead Housing Support Worker on a Temp to Perm basis.
  • This vacancy is full time, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Working Pattern: 9am-5pm hours, no work on weekends or bank holidays.
  • This vacancy is location based in Coventry.
  • Candidate’s will be paid £13.11 PAYE or £16.90 per hour Umbrella.
  • The role is subject to an enhanced DBS covering Child and Adult workforce.
  • Full UK Driver’s License and access to a vehicle is preferable.

The Duties & Responsibilities:

  • As a Lead Housing Support Worker, you will ensure the support is delivered in response to the client’s needs and allows them to maintain accommodation and improve health and wellbeing outcomes.
  • Part of your job role will be to advocate on behalf of young people on issues such as benefits, housing rights etc.
  • In your job role as a Lead Housing Support Worker, you will ensure benefit claims are made and maintained to maximise young people’s income, provide support with budgeting, debt advice and complete applications for small grants.
  • As a Lead Housing Support Worker, you will be required to work with young people with complex and multiple needs to help them to sustain tenancies and manage their lives better.
