Client snapshot: An excellent opportunity has been made available by my client, an established housing provider in the UK. My client has a large portfolio of supported living projects and offers generic housing management and supported housing services.
Vacancy Brief:
- The role is that of a Young People Support Worker; this is initially a three-month interim contract covering sickness.
- This is a full-time role; 35 hours a week.
- Working pattern is Monday - Friday 9-5pm.
- Pay rate for this role is £13.50 per hour on PAYE OR £17.39 Umbrella.
- The role will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check covering Child and Adult workforce.
- Full UK Driver's license and access to a vehicle is essential.
- The role is based in Hereford.
The Responsibilities: As a Young People Support Worker, you will:
- Help clients manage their finances, including household bills, income, benefits, and access to specialist debt advice. You will also support clients who have experienced financial abuse.
- Assist clients in finding and keeping suitable accommodation, and support them if homelessness is a risk.
- Assess and plan individual support visits for your caseload, prioritising needs within available time.
- Encourage and support clients to access education, training, and work opportunities.
- Help clients engage positively with their communities, reducing disputes with neighbours and addressing anti-social behaviour.
