Location: Harlow, Essex | Pay Rate: £16.00 PAYE per hour | Full Time | Mon–Fri (9am–5pm) | Temp to Perm
Are you an experienced Housing Management professional? Do you enjoy working with older residents and delivering high-quality housing services? My client, a well-established social housing provider, is seeking an experienced Housing Management Co-ordinator to support an Over 55s housing service in Harlow, Essex. This is a full-time interim role initially until end of April 2026, with a strong view to extension and the potential to transition to a permanent position.
Vacancy Brief- Role: Housing Management Co-ordinator
- Service: Over 55s Housing
- Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour PAYE
- Contract: Interim until April 2026 (with extension / temp-to-perm potential)
- Hours: Full time – Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
- Location: Harlow, Essex
- Working Pattern: Office / scheme-based
- Compliance: DBS required (level dependent on service)
- Act as the main point of contact for residents, providing high-quality housing management support.
- Report and monitor repairs and maintenance issues, liaising with contractors to ensure timely resolution.
- Carry out defect checks, property inspections, and ensure buildings remain safe, secure, and compliant.
- Make regular welfare calls to residents and respond to customer queries in a professional and supportive manner.
- Manage rent accounts, including monitoring arrears and supporting income recovery processes.
- Ensure the scheme complies with health & safety requirements, including routine checks and record keeping.
- Prepare and distribute weekly resident newsletters and coordinate communication within the scheme.
- Organise and facilitate resident meetings, promoting engagement and community involvement.
- Maintain accurate housing management records and update internal systems in line with policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Proven experience in housing management, ideally within supported housing, sheltered housing, or older persons services.
- Strong understanding of repairs reporting, rent management, tenancy compliance, and health & safety.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently and sensitively with older residents.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied workload independently.
- Comfortable producing written communications such as newsletters and resident updates.
- Confident using housing management systems and standard IT packages.
