Are you an experienced Housing Officer ready to hit the ground running? Do you have strong experience managing ASB and progressing cases through legal action? We are supporting a well-established housing provider seeking 4 x Housing Officers to join on an interim basis in a field-based, customer-facing role.

Vacancy Brief

  • Contract: Interim (initial 2–3 months)
  • Hours: Full time, Monday–Friday
  • Location: Birmingham & Solihull patch
  • Working Pattern: Site-based with some home working for admin
  • Pay Rate: £21.70 PAYE / £28.00 Umbrella
  • Travel: Full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle essential

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a housing patch, delivering proactive tenancy and housing management services
  • Handle ASB cases end-to-end, including evidence gathering and legal escalation
  • Prepare and serve legal notices and attend court where required
  • Manage complex tenancy issues including fraud, abandonments, succession and unlawful occupation
  • Conduct estate inspections, tenancy audits and customer visits
  • Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns, making appropriate referrals
  • Work with partners (police, social care, support services) to sustain tenancies
  • Maintain accurate case records and produce clear written communications

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a Housing / Housing Officer role
  • Strong ASB and legal case management experience
  • Good knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy enforcement
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
  • Confident handling challenging situations and conflict resolution
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Experience working with vulnerable tenants and external agencies
  • IT literate with housing systems/CRM experience
