An opportunity has arisen for an Infrastructure Engineer to join a technology organisation delivering secure, enterprise digital workspace platforms. This role focuses on the design, build, and optimisation of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performance access to business-critical applications. Working closely with architecture, networking, cloud, and end-user computing teams, you will play a key role in delivering scalable Citrix infrastructure across on-premise and hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, building, and configuring Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops infrastructure.
- Implementing and managing key Citrix components including Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, and Citrix Gateway.
- Delivering Citrix environments aligned with architectural designs, enterprise standards, and security policies.
- Supporting infrastructure projects including deployments, upgrades, and platform improvements.
- Ensuring platform availability, scalability, performance, and secure remote access.
- Collaborating with architecture, cloud, networking, and EUC teams to deliver integrated digital workspace solutions.
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving complex Citrix platform or user experience issues.
- Maintaining technical documentation including build standards and operational procedures.
- Supporting platform lifecycle activities including patching, upgrades, and optimisation.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops in an enterprise environment.
- Experience configuring and supporting Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, and Citrix Gateway.
- Knowledge of high-availability Citrix environments and secure remote access solutions.
- Experience implementing infrastructure from technical and architectural designs.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Citrix platform performance and user experience.
- Experience working across on-premise or hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Desirable:
- Citrix certifications (CCA-V, CCA-D, CCP-V, CCP-D or equivalent).
