Job Description
Software Engineer (Java, Spring Boot, Azure) | Glasgow (5 days per week, fully on-site) | £550-£650 per day (Inside IR35) | 6 months (with strong potential for extension)
A leading consultancy that we've worked with for a while is looking for highly skilled Software Engineers with strong financial sector experience to join their team supporting a major banking client. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment-ideal for engineers experienced in building secure, scalable, and compliant systems for financial services.

You'll be based onsite in Glasgow, developing and automating solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and Azure. Candidates must have a valid right to work in the UK and be either local or willing to relocate, as remote work is not available.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Develop, deploy, and support solutions within Azure cloud environments
- Automate workflows and application deployment processes
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
- Work closely with stakeholders within a financial services environment to ensure delivery of compliant, high-quality software
Key Requirements
- Proven experience developing in Java and Spring Boot
- Strong background in financial services or banking projects
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Solid understanding of automation and CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to work effectively in a fully onsite, collaborative consultancy setting
- Must hold a valid right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
