Job Description
Senior Infrastructure EngineerLeicester | Hybrid | UP to 55k + Benefits
We're looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a large enterprise IT team in Leicester. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you'll take ownership of complex network and infrastructure projects while mentoring and guiding other engineers.

You'll work in a 7,000+ user, multi-site environment with hundreds of servers and over a thousand networking devices, giving you exposure to enterprise-scale infrastructure and the opportunity to influence infrastructure strategy and modernisation projects.
What You'll Do
- Lead Cisco LAN/WAN/WLAN design, optimisation, and security initiatives
- Implement and manage cloud platforms (Azure / AWS)
- Oversee VMware / Hyper-V clusters, upgrades, and maintenance
- Drive automation using PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform
- Shape disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Mentor other Infrastructure Engineers and share best practice
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in enterprise networking (LAN/WAN/WLAN)
- CCNA or CCNP certified (or equivalent experience)
- Proven track record with Cisco equipment, cloud platforms, and virtualisation
- Knowledge of automation tools and enterprise DR solutions
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to thrive under pressure
