Job Description
Second Line Engineer – Leciester (Hybrid)
£26,000 – £29,500 DOE
The Company:

By centralising key services and systems, the company ensures consistency, reliability, and efficiency across all locations – enabling each branch to focus on delivering quality service to their local communities.This internal IT support position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of projects from start to finish.
The Role:
- Provide remote and on-site second-line IT support to internal users across multiple locations
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues promptly
- Maintain and monitor core IT infrastructure including servers, networking equipment, and cloud services
- Install and configure new hardware and software with minimal disruption to operations
- Contribute to cybersecurity efforts by supporting patch management and promoting best practices
- Assist senior engineers on larger-scale projects and more complex technical problems
- Deliver excellent customer service by maintaining clear communication and timely resolution of support tickets
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience in an IT support, service desk, or helpdesk role (1st or 2nd line)
- Solid understanding of Windows operating systems and common business applications
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking fundamentals, and cloud technologies
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
