We're looking for an experienced Network Manager / Senior IT Engineer to join our forward-thinking school IT team. You'll play a key role in maintaining and developing the school's technology infrastructure, ensuring teachers, students, and staff have the tools they need to succeed every day. In this varied role, you'll support a wide range of systems including Windows Server, Office 365, Azure, networking, and backup environments. You'll be the go-to person for escalated support issues, system improvements, and infrastructure projects-helping to create a reliable, secure, and modern learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide IT & Network support for on-site and remote users across the school network
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Windows Server, AD, and Office 365 / Azure environments
  • Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and proactive system improvements
  • Support classroom technology, network switches, and backup solutions
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure systems meet compliance and safety standards
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and administrative staff to deliver outstanding IT service

Requirements:

  • Experience in a school or education IT environment
  • Strong technical skills with Windows Server, Hyper-V, Active Directory, and cloud services
  • Solid understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VLANs)
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, solutions-focused approach
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and take ownership of technical challenges
