We are looking for an experienced Lab Engineer to support a large-scale enterprise testing environment based within a data centre setting in West Yorkshire. This role sits within a dedicated lab function responsible for pre-production validation, solution testing, and technical assurance before enterprise rollout. It is a technically deep position suited to someone who understands enterprise infrastructure end-to-end.
You will be responsible for:
- Operating and maintaining a large enterprise lab environment
- Translating infrastructure requirements into structured test builds
- Designing and executing pre-production test scenarios
- Validating firewall, switching, storage and virtualisation configurations
- Supporting enterprise-level compute, storage and network environments
- Troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues
- Managing workflows and documentation via JIRA
- Collaborating with network, security and infrastructure teams
Essential Experience
- Strong VMware experience (enterprise virtualisation environments)
- Deep knowledge of firewall technologies
- Experience working with Juniper networking environments
- Hands-on experience with enterprise switches
- Block storage and enterprise storage technologies
- Compute virtualisation in large-scale environments
- Experience working within enterprise-level organisations
- Strong troubleshooting and technical validation capability
- Experience using JIRA
Candidates will be required to go through background checks before commencing contract. Must be eligible to live and work in the specified work location. Some occasional travel may be required. Only successful candidates will be contacted.
