We're recruiting for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to support and develop our client's extensive internal server and network estate. Your role will include both BAU support and engaging infrastructure projects, ensuring their systems remain secure, robust, and future-ready. You'll join a highly capable team, benefiting from professional development and exposure to advanced technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and manage infrastructure projects focused on Windows Server, Cisco Networking, VMware and cloud integrations (Azure).
  • Handle configuration and deployment of network infrastructure, including switches, VLANs, wireless setups, and telephony systems.
  • Regularly apply software and firmware updates to maintain security and compliance.
  • Maintain Disaster Recovery and Data Protection solutions such as Zerto.
  • Participate in an on-call rota (approx. 1 week in 6).
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and project tracking.
  • Maintain monthly patching for the windows server state using server update services.
  • Backup the server estate with the use of Rubrik.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong infrastructure background, ideally in enterprise environments.
  • Excellent experience with Microsoft platforms (Exchange, Active Directory, SharePoint, Teams, Windows Server).
  • Proven capability with Cisco networking (LAN/WAN/WLAN troubleshooting).
  • Solid experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualisation.
  • Familiarity with cloud management (Azure).
  • Proficient in scripting and automation (PowerShell).
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to independently manage complex issues.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Azure Administrator) are highly desirable.
