The Opportunity

We're working with a growing technology business that is looking to appoint an experienced

Business Development Manager to focus on winning new enterprise clients across the UK .

This is a high-impact new business role for someone with a proven track record of identifying, developing and closing opportunities with large organisations.

You'll be responsible for opening new doors, building relationships with senior decision-makers and taking complex sales opportunities through to close.

The ideal candidate will come from a hardware, managed services, IT services or technology solutions background and have experience selling directly to end-user businesses.

This is not a distribution or supplier sales role.

We're specifically looking for someone who has a strong track record of winning enterprise customers directly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and win new enterprise clients across the UK.
  • Build and manage a strong new business pipeline.
  • Prospect into large organisations and engage senior decision-makers.
  • Develop relationships with CIOs, CTOs, IT Directors, Heads of IT and procurement teams.
  • Understand customer requirements and position relevant technology and managed service solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through to negotiation and close.
  • Develop strategic account plans to maximise new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with technical, solutions and delivery teams to develop tailored propositions.
  • Lead presentations, proposals and commercial negotiations.
  • Build long-term relationships with newly acquired customers and identify opportunities for further growth.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts and pipeline reporting.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed new business targets.

About You

We're looking for an experienced

Business Development Manager / Senior BDM / Enterprise BDM with a proven track record of winning new business.

You’ll ideally have

  • Around

5+ years' experience selling into UK enterprise organisations .

  • A demonstrable track record of winning new enterprise clients .
  • Experience selling managed services, IT services, hardware or technology solutions .
  • Experience selling directly to large end-user organisations .
  • Strong understanding of complex B2B technology sales.
  • Experience engaging with C-level and senior IT stakeholders.
  • Excellent prospecting, networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation abilities.
  • A consultative approach combined with a genuine new business/hunter mentality .
  • The ability to manage long and complex sales cycles.
