Technical Product Owner - Modern Desktop (Windows 365 / Cloud Desktop) | £550 - £600 per day (Inside IR35) | 12-month contract | Start: January 2027 | Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite in London

Our client is looking for a Technical Product Owner to set up and run a new cloud desktop service, including Windows 365 and on-premise desktop in the datacentre.

This is a build role. You'll own the products from vision and service model through to launch, adoption and ongoing run. You'll report to the Fleet Lead and work across multiple squads and partner teams to set priorities, remove blockers and make sure the platforms are secure.

What you'll do

  • Own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for modern desktop products, working with the Fleet Lead and Chapter Leads
  • Define and build the service around each product: the offering, service tiers, onboarding, support model, SLAs and success measures
  • Own and prioritise the backlog, turning business and technical requirements into deliverable outcomes across multiple squads
  • Take new products from pilot to production scale, coordinating engineering, network, security, resilience and datacentre teams

What you'll bring

  • Experience of building and launching a cloud compute product or service at scale on AWS, Azure or GCP
  • A track record of setting up and running a service, not just using one
  • Preferably end user side experience, such as virtual desktops, Desktop-as-a-Service or modern endpoint management
  • Experience defining service models, including support, SLAs, cost transparency and lifecycle management

If this sounds like a good fit, apply now!
