We are looking for a high-calibre National Account Manager to take ownership of key convenience retail customers, including Co-op and other national convenience accounts. This is a commercially focused, fast-paced role with full accountability for delivering sales, profit, and growth. The successful candidate will be expected to operate with autonomy, build strong customer relationships, and actively drive new opportunities within the convenience channel.
Key Responsibilities
- Full P&L responsibility for key convenience accounts (including Co-op)
- Deliver sales, margin, and growth targets
- Build and manage strong relationships with customer buying teams
- Lead Joint Business Planning (JBP) processes
- Identify and secure new listings and distribution opportunities
- Manage pricing, promotions, and commercial negotiations
- Work cross-functionally with NPD, supply chain, and marketing
- Monitor performance and respond quickly to risks and opportunities
Candidate Profile
Experience
- FMCG sales experience (chilled category preferred)
- Experience managing national or key accounts
- Convenience retail exposure highly desirable (e.g. Co-op, Tesco Express, Sainsbury’s Local)
- Strong commercial track record with evidence of growth delivery
Education
- Good standard of education (degree not essential)
