Main Purpose of Job

Managing a team of Site Services Engineers – delegating and prioritising maintenance works across a large Manufacturing site. As the Site Service Manager you will be responsible for all:

  • Refrigeration
  • Gas Systems
  • HVAC Systems
  • Drainage & Effluent
  • Building & Facilities
  • Infrastructure
  • Boiler and Steam systems
  • Compressed air systems

Organising and managing all third-party contractors. Managing all compliance across the site and carrying out regular inspections e.g. legionella levels. Looking at ways to improve the overall efficiency of the site, such as reducing energy consumption and waste management. Managing any relating projects and continuous improvement programmes. Ensuring all maintenance activities are recorded appropriately. Comply with appropriate health, safety and environmental policies and procedures at all times. To ensure that all Department Systems & Policies are in place and being adhered to. To ensure that all safety & quality standards are being adhered to. To ensure Technical Systems are adequately monitored so that documentary evidence can be provided to support a “due diligence” defence in the event of a food safety or quality issue.

Qualifications:

  • Time Served, Qualified to minimum HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline
  • IOSH Qualified desirable
  • Good communication skills with the ability to manage a team of engineers and contractors

Experience:

  • Experienced in a senior Site Services, Utilities or Facilities Role – Ideally with a good knowledge of the Manufacturing Industry
