Role Overview
As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotations for a variety of electrical projects within the commercial, industrial, and retail sectors. You’ll work closely with management and clients to understand project requirements, assess technical specifications, and deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates and quotations for new tenders and projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to determine project scope and requirements.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive prices for materials and services.
- Carry out site visits where necessary to gather relevant project information.
- Support the project team throughout the tender and delivery stages.
- Maintain and update estimating records and cost databases.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the commercial, industrial, or retail sectors.
- Strong understanding of electrical installations, materials, and relevant regulations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel); experience with estimating software is advantageous.
- Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills.
