Our client is a precision engineering and toolmaking company specialising in high-performance mould tooling for demanding sectors including medical, defence, electronics, and food packaging. We work to micron-level tolerances and combine advanced CNC machining with traditional toolmaking craftsmanship to deliver tooling that performs – and keeps performing – across production, maintenance, and beyond.
The Role
We’re looking for a skilled Machinist / Toolmaker to join a growing team. This is a dynamic and varied role within a small, close-knit team, supporting a range of exciting new customer programmes and contributing directly to the continued growth and success of the business. You’ll work across diverse tooling projects from concept through to completion, playing a key part in delivering the quality and reliability our customers depend on.
Key Responsibilities
- CNC and manual machining (milling, turning, grinding, EDM) to high precision.
- Tool assembly, fitting, and bench work to final tolerance.
- Reading and interpreting 3D CAD drawings and technical documentation.
- Working closely with project engineers to meet quality and delivery requirements.
- Supporting new and ongoing customer programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
