We are looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven background in the electrical and M&E sector, focused on commercial projects. This role is key to driving new business, developing long-term client relationships, and producing accurate estimating quotes and pricing for commercial electrical and M&E works.
The successful candidate will have strong commercial awareness, technical understanding, and the ability to confidently manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to contract award.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the commercial electrical and M&E sector
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, main contractors, and key stakeholders
- Prepare and present accurate estimates, quotations, and pricing for commercial electrical and M&E projects
- Work closely with estimating, contracts, and operational teams to ensure competitive and profitable bids
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and tender interviews as required
- Monitor market activity, competitors, and upcoming opportunities
- Contribute to overall business growth in line with company objectives
- Proven experience as a Business Development Manager within the electrical and/or M&E sector
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical and M&E installations
- Demonstrable experience in producing accurate costings, estimates, and pricing
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Commercially aware, self-motivated, and results focused
- Full UK driving licence preferred
