We're working exclusively with a well-established software company that develops solutions for manufacturers, helping them monitor and optimise production processes in real time. Their platform provides visibility into operational metrics, enabling clients to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.

Location: Northampton area (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 per year

Seniority level: Mid-Senior level

Employment type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Developing new features and enhancements for the platforms
  • Maintaining and improving existing application functionality
  • Building and supporting integrations with client systems via REST APIs and JSON data interchange
  • Collaborating with product owners, QA, and other engineers
  • Writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews

Experience & Skills:

  • 3+ years' commercial software development experience
  • Strong experience with .NET / C# and ASP.NET / .NET Core
  • Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases
  • Experience building or consuming APIs / system integrations (REST/JSON)
  • Familiarity with cloud deployment patterns, ideally Azure
  • Comfortable working on an internal product

Desired:

  • Experience as a Software Engineer in manufacturing or a related industry
  • Exposure to front-end technologies (JavaScript, React, or Angular)
  • Agile / Scrum experience
