Overview
Platform Operations Manager (AI) | Initial 6-Month Contract | Remote | £600-£700 per day (Outside IR35)
A consultancy we work closely with is looking for a Platform Operations Manager (AI) for an end client to provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for an enterprise AI platform. This role will be hands-on, customer-facing, and focused on ensuring reliable, high-performance operations across AI infrastructure and tooling. The position involves technical troubleshooting, collaboration with vendor engineering teams, and maintaining seamless platform functionality for internal and external users.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Level 1 and 2 support for platform issues and service requests
- Diagnose, replicate, and troubleshoot platform and infrastructure problems
- Escalate and coordinate complex cases with vendor engineering teams
- Monitor system health, alerts, and performance metrics
- Automate routine operational tasks and document best practices
- Support platform onboarding, configuration, and usage guidance
- Collaborate with infrastructure and AI engineering teams on integrations and performance improvements
- Maintain SLAs and ensure customer satisfaction
Technical Focus
- Manage Nvidia GPU clusters and related infrastructure
- Implement failover, resilience, and resource optimization strategies
- Oversee capacity planning and workload scheduling
- Monitor performance using Nvidia and HPE tools
- Manage incident response, node failures, and access/security controls
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of L1/L2 processes and troubleshooting workflows
- Experience with cloud, APIs, and distributed systems
- Familiarity with AI/ML environments and workflows
