About the Role
We're working with a growing, multi-site business based in Birmingham that is looking to strengthen its finance function with the addition of a Management Accountant. This role sits at the heart of the finance team, supporting decision-making through accurate reporting, commercial insight, and ownership of key financial processes. You'll be joining a business that is scaling, meaning there is strong exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to shape processes as the function evolves.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Variance analysis and commentary for senior leadership
- Budgeting and forecasting support
- Business partnering with operational teams
- Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close activities
- Supporting process improvements across finance
- Assisting with audit and year-end reporting
What You'll Be Working With
- Excel (advanced level expected)
- ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage)
- Financial reporting and forecasting tools
What We're Looking For
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or part-qualified
- Experience producing full sets of management accounts
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, analysis)
- Confident communicating with non-finance stakeholders
- Commercial mindset with attention to detail
