Job Description

Production Services Specialist II | Remote | Inside IR35 | $90 p/h | 4-Day Week (up to 40 hrs, Rota-Based) | IP Services/Load Balancing & DDIWe're looking for an experienced Production Services Specialist II (contract) to support a large-scale IP Services environment.

This is an operations-focused role, acting as the technical subject matter expert for network incidents affecting load balancing and DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) infrastructure.

You'll manage day-to-day operational support across F5, VMware Avi, and Blue Cat platforms, including incident triage, proactive network reviews and disaster recovery testing.

You'll also support documentation, runbooks and governance processes, ensuring standards are maintained across the network stack.

Involvement in wider Operations projects and initiatives will also be required, working closely with senior engineers, architecture and business stakeholders to ensure smooth, resilient service delivery.

This is a remote role, working a 4-day week (up to 40 hours) on a rota basis.

Key responsibilities: Provide operational support for F5, VMware Avi and Blue Cat (on-prem and Cloud Resolver) infrastructure.

Support incident triage, proactive reviews and disaster recovery testing.

Maintain documentation, runbooks and adherence to design/governance standards.

Coordinate with senior engineers, architecture and business stakeholders.

Contribute to Operations projects and infrastructure improvement initiatives.

Key skills:7+ years' experience in network protocols and technologies (DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS, HTTP/S, SNMP, TCP/IP).

Strong knowledge of F5 (LTM/GTM/APM), Blue Cat DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and VMware Advanced Load Balancer.

Expert troubleshooting ability across complex networking environments.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
