We're looking for a motivated Energy & Sustainability Manager to join our growing Sustainability & Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded individual with project management experience who is passionate about helping businesses reduce energy consumption, lower carbon emissions, and achieve their sustainability goals. You'll work with clients across the UK, carrying out energy audits, identifying energy-saving opportunities, managing technical projects, and supporting the delivery of innovative low-carbon solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site energy audits nationwide, primarily supporting ESOS compliance.
  • Identify and quantify energy and carbon reduction opportunities.
  • Specify and manage the delivery of sub-metering projects.
  • Project manage the implementation of technical energy solutions, including Solar PV, voltage optimisation, compressed air systems, heat pumps, and other energy efficiency technologies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and technical partners.
  • Provide technical support to the wider sustainability team on carbon reduction strategies and Net Zero roadmaps.
  • Stay up to date with emerging energy technologies, legislation, and industry best practice.
  • Support energy data analysis and reporting, including CCA, EII, and SECR requirements.

About You

You'll have a technical background and enjoy solving problems, managing projects, and working directly with clients to deliver practical energy-saving solutions.

Essential Requirements

  • Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering or technical discipline.
  • Experience conducting energy audits and/or managing technical projects within an industrial environment.
  • Good working knowledge of at least two engineering or building services systems, such as: HVAC, Lighting, Steam, Refrigeration, Manufacturing processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to calculate energy savings and interpret large datasets.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
