Job Description
DLP Policy Engineer | 6 month contract initially | £500 p/d | Inside IR35 | Remote We are seeking an experienced DLP Policy Engineer to support a major enterprise data security transformation.
This role will focus on migrating Symantec DLP policies and controls to the Zscaler Data Loss Prevention (DLP) platform, ensuring business-critical security requirements are maintained throughout the transition.
Key Responsibilities Analyse and understand the client's existing Symantec (Broadcom) DLP environment, policies, and data protection controls.
Review current DLP policies across multiple data channels and identify migration requirements.
Design, build, and implement equivalent DLP policies within the Zscaler DLP platform.
Work closely with Zscaler specialists, internal engineering teams, and key stakeholders throughout the migration.
Produce clear technical documentation covering policy design, configuration, testing outcomes, and implementation processes.
Collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver project milestones on schedule.
Provide knowledge transfer, training, and operational support to internal teams Required Skills & Experience Extensive hands-on experience with Symantec (Broadcom) DLP is essential.
Experience designing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise DLP policies within Symantec/Broadcom DLP.
Experience with Zscaler DLP, including policy creation, migration, or administration, is highly desirable.
Proven experience delivering DLP policy migration or transformation projects.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills within large enterprise environments.
Solid understanding of DLP policy testing, validation, and quality assurance.
