The Role
We\’re looking for a Cloud Operations Team Leader to manage and optimise our cloud infrastructure and lead a skilled engineering team. This is a hands‑on leadership role balancing strategic planning with technical execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Cloud Engineers.
- Oversee day‑to‑day cloud operations: monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and optimisation.
- Implement and improve Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices using Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub Actions.
- Support development teams through CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive cloud security, governance, compliance, and cost optimisation (FinOps).
- Plan and deliver projects using Agile methodologies.
- Explore AI‑driven approaches to infrastructure automation.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years hands‑on experience with AWS.
- Strong experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
- Proven leadership or team management experience in a technical environment.
- Solid understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Knowledge of cloud cost management and performance monitoring.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
