We are working with a growing accounting practice based in Bury that is looking to bring an experienced and client focused Accountant into their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in building lasting client relationships and is passionate about accounting and finance.

  • Managing all accounting and financial matters across your client portfolio
  • Preparing year end financial statements including profit and loss, balance sheets and cash flow statements
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and generating periodic reports
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns, corporation tax and personal tax filings
  • Providing strategic advice on tax planning, budgeting and cash flow
  • Handling HMRC queries and ensuring clients remain compliant
  • Overseeing payroll processing and regulatory compliance
  • Supporting clients with Xero and QuickBooks set ups and software training
  • Assisting with internal and external audit preparation and documentation
  • Mentoring junior members of the team and supporting their development

What We Are Looking For

  • AAT Level 4 qualified as a minimum, or ACA, ACCA or CIMA equivalent
  • At least three years of experience working within an accounting practice
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero and QuickBooks
  • Solid understanding of UK tax laws and compliance requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build client relationships
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines without losing composure
  • An interest in mentoring and supporting junior colleagues
