We're working with an established and growing technology business that is looking for an experienced PHP Developer to join its Development team in Blackpool. You'll be working with large and varied datasets, solving interesting technical challenges and developing reliable systems that transform complex information into valuable insights. What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and maintaining web applications using PHP 8, Laravel and/or Symfony
- Working with MySQL and large, complex datasets
- Designing and developing new features and functionality
- Building intuitive and engaging interfaces using HTML, CSS, Tailwind and JavaScript
- Working with JavaScript technologies such as Alpine.js and Vue.js
- Integrating APIs and working with a variety of data sources
- Troubleshooting, debugging and resolving technical and data-related issues
- Improving application performance, reliability and scalability
- Working with Git and modern development workflows
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally have:
- Commercial experience developing applications with PHP
- Good knowledge of Laravel and/or Symfony
- Strong experience working with MySQL
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience with Tailwind CSS and/or Alpine.js / Vue.js
- Experience using Git and modern development practices
- A methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving
- An understanding of writing clean, maintainable and reliable code
Experience working with large datasets, analytics platforms, APIs or data-heavy applications would be beneficial.
