I'm looking for an experienced contractor skilled in C++ development to join a Stockport based client on a 3 month contract which may be extended. You will be providing your expertise on a brand new project.
Main duties
- Work within the software development team to implement software designs in Modern C++.
- Test new and modified software at the module and system level to ensure the software is robust and meets its specification.
- Participate in design and code reviews of your own and others' work constructively, to identify opportunities for improvement and resolve issues early.
- Deliver work according to planned objectives, highlighting obstacles and threats in a timely manner.
Essential skills
- Modern C++
- Microsoft Visual Studio IDE
- Knowledge of TCP/IP
- Software version control (ideally SVN)
Desirable skills
- SQL (Postgres preferred but not essential)
- Some experience of a version of Scrum
You’ll be required on-site 4 days per week for the first 2 weeks and then this will move down to 2 days per week.
