We are looking for an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice. This person will play a key role in developing and leading their audit work while also playing a key part in accounts and tax (or willing to build your tax knowledge with support).
This is a senior, hands-on role suited to someone coming from practice, with experience across audit and accounts and an interest in helping shape the future of an audit function. You will manage a small audit team, work closely with senior colleagues, and contribute to the wider delivery of services to our client base. There is genuine long-term progression available, including the potential to become an RI in the future.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop the practice's audit offering
- Manage and review audit engagements
- Oversee accounts preparation and support tax compliance
- Manage and support a small audit team
- Work closely with partners and senior management on client delivery and audit development
- Proven practice experience is essential
- Strong experience across audit and accounts
- Tax experience is desirable but not essential - willingness to learn is key
- Qualified (ACA / ACCA or equivalent), ideally with a few years' post-qualification experience
- Comfortable managing people or ready to step into a management role
