Role Purpose
Responsible for ensuring data across the organisation is accurate, complete, consistent and reliable - tracking down anomalies, understanding how data flows through the business, and improving quality at source and downstream. Acts as the link between business needs and technical delivery.
Core Responsibilities
- Profile datasets against quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, validity) and track issues over time via dashboards.
- Define and refine data quality rules with stakeholders; build automated checks into ETL/warehouse/reporting environments.
- Investigate root causes of anomalies and work with system owners on fixes and longer-term prevention.
- Support data governance: dictionaries, quality frameworks, stewardship and consistent data definitions.
- Partner with data engineers, analysts and SMEs to embed quality controls and automate validation/cleansing.
