SOC Analyst - L2 - £40,000 - £45,000
I'm working with a client looking to appoint a Tier 2 SOC Analyst to support security operations, lead investigations and act as an escalation point for Tier 1 analysts.
This is an opportunity for an experienced SOC Analyst, or a strong L1 ready to step up, to take on greater responsibility for incident investigation, threat hunting and improving security processes.
Key responsibilities:
Monitor and investigate security alerts, triaging incidents and managing escalations.
Act as an escalation point for Tier 1 SOC Analysts.
Conduct threat hunting to identify potential security threats.
Lead the team during shifts, supporting analysts with investigations and decision-making.
Improve SOC processes, procedures and incident response playbooks.
Identify opportunities to enhance detection and response capabilities.
What they're looking for:
Previous SOC experience, ideally at L2 level, or strong L1 experience demonstrating readiness to progress.
Good security knowledge and the ability to investigate and triage incidents independently.
A proactive approach, with evidence of taking initiative and improving processes.
The confidence to support colleagues and take ownership of escalated incidents.
The details:
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Shift pattern: Three days on, three days off.
