As a Senior Diagnostic Technician (Remote Vehicle Diagnostics Specialist) based in Nottingham, you will work full-time and permanently with a salary of approximately £40,000+ (negotiable depending on experience). This role operates Monday to Friday, with no weekends or bank holidays.

Instead of working in a workshop, you'll use your technical expertise to support garages and dealerships across the UK and Europe from our modern Nottingham headquarters. This is an opportunity to move away from the physical demands of workshop life while continuing to solve complex technical problems every day.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert remote support to garages and dealerships across the UK and Europe.
  • Carrying out advanced remote diagnostics using dealer-level tools.
  • Analysing live data and diagnostic results.
  • Assisting with ECU functions, coding, and programming.
  • Providing technical support by phone, email, and online chat.
  • Working with electrical and electronic systems.
  • Understanding vehicle communications networks.
  • Performing ECU programming and software coding.
  • Key programming.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Strong workshop-based diagnostic experience.
  • A strong understanding of electrical and electronic vehicle systems.
  • The ability to explain technical processes clearly to other technicians.
  • A Master Technician background.
  • Programming and coding experience.
  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent.
