Our client is a Local Authority in West London which is seeking to appoint a Principal Planning Enforcement Officer for an initial 5 month contract, though there is potential for an extension beyond this.
You will manage and progress complex and high-profile planning enforcement cases, often involving significant planning, legal or political considerations. You will also be required to represent the LPA at hearing and inquiry appeals and legal proceedings. Significant experience in planning enforcement required.
We are looking for a well-established Officer with a proven track record working in Local Authority planning teams.
It is absolutely essential that you are fully up to date with current UK planning issues and government guidance. Good communication skills are critical and ideally you will hold a relevant planning qualification. We need someone who has experience of planning appeals work and being involved with hearings and inquiries.
The rate will be Β£35/hr Umbrella, this role is inside IR35. This is a hybrid role, you will need to be on site 2 days a week.
