Our client based in Surrey is looking to appoint an experienced Planning Policy Team Leader.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Planning Policy Team and manage the production, maintenance, and monitoring of the Council’s Local Development Scheme and Local Plan documents.
  • Ensure all activities are in accordance with statutory procedures and best practices.
  • Coordinate with the corporate policy direction, other services, and the Council’s plans and programmes.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Significant planning policy experience, with preferably proven line management skills.
  • Strong policy development knowledge and a thorough understanding of UK planning legislation.
  • Willingness to undertake lead responsibilities on projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Relevant degree-level qualification (essential) and professional accreditation (ideally).
