Our client based in Surrey is looking to appoint an experienced Planning Policy Team Leader.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the Planning Policy Team and manage the production, maintenance, and monitoring of the Council’s Local Development Scheme and Local Plan documents.
- Ensure all activities are in accordance with statutory procedures and best practices.
- Coordinate with the corporate policy direction, other services, and the Council’s plans and programmes.
Candidate Requirements:
- Significant planning policy experience, with preferably proven line management skills.
- Strong policy development knowledge and a thorough understanding of UK planning legislation.
- Willingness to undertake lead responsibilities on projects.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Relevant degree-level qualification (essential) and professional accreditation (ideally).
