Our client is a Local Authority in North London.
They need a Senior Planning Officer to take up a role dealing assessing a range of planning applications at every stage so you will be involved with consultation exercises, providing written reports, carrying out site assessments and dealing with appeals. On occasion you will represent the Council at Informal Hearings and Public Inquiries.
On a day to day basis you will liaise with agents, applicants and the public. A kay part of the role will be providing informed, accurate pre-application advice to prospective developers.
You will also have a role to play in negotiating agreements under S.106 of the Town and Country Planning Act.
We are looking for an established Town Planning Officer with significant experience in a Local Authority planning environment.
The role will initially be offered as a 3 month contract, but is expected to be a rolling placement. Our client offers hybrid working.
The rate offered is £40.59/hr (umbrella).
