Our client is a local authority based in London, and they are seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Project Manager to lead on a portfolio of major capital investments works to their housing stock.

You will be responsible for ensuring successful delivery and that contract conditions are complied with, that budgets and timetables are adhered to, that high-quality standards and value for money are provided, and that statutory, regulatory, and Council requirements are delivered at all times. You will lead a team of project managers and consultants responsible for the delivery of a range of projects within the housing capital investment programme of up to £20m p.a.

You will be required to ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements, contractual requirements, quality standards, and Council governance policies, processes, and procedures at all times. Additionally, you will ensure that there are robust monitoring and change control mechanisms in place. You will also need to ensure compliance with all leaseholder legislation, produce detailed Section 20 notices for the works that will be undertaken, and manage leaseholder consultation effectively. Furthermore, you will lead on the contract management and procurement of works and services contracts to support the delivery of the Housing capital investment programme, implement a robust contract management framework, resolve any contractual and legal disputes, and ensure value for money at all times.

Applicants for this post should be RICS, RIBA, or CIOB qualified and ideally will have worked for a Local Authority property department or similar public sector institution previously. Experience of working on a similar Housing programme at this level is essential. You must have proven experience in delivering successful construction projects from inception to completion, including all aspects of project, contract, and financial management.

The role will initially be offered for 3 months, though there is potential for it to be extended beyond this.

Our client is offering a hybrid working arrangement, and the rate offered is £580 per day umbrella. This role is inside IR35.
