Our client is a Local Authority based in Somerset and they require a Housing Capital Programme Contract Manager to join them for an Interim role. Providing high quality, specialist project management expertise you will take the lead and give advice relating to a complex capital delivery project, specifically with regard to capital delivery, procurement and stakeholder consultation.

You will also be required to undertake, under your own initiative, a variety of project management activities relating to workstreams contained within the Project programme. An important part of this role will be your ability to engage with and build professional relationships with key project stakeholders to facilitate a professional project management environment for project delivery.

To apply you will need to hold a relevant related qualification and have a proven track record in managing the delivery of large and complex Capital Projects with a Housing delivery focus. You will need experience of working within a politically driven organisation operating at a senior level with elected or board members. Ideally the successful candidate will be a PRINCE 2 Practitioner.

The role will initially be offered for 3 months but is expected to be an ongoing rolling contract due to the nature of the project, and the rate offered will be up to £320/day umbrella. Our client offers hybrid working, the details of this will be discussed at interview stage.
