Job Description
One of our Local Authority clients based Somerset is looking to recruit a Head of Communications and Engagement Transformation to join them for a contract role and ensure it has an excellent reputation in the local community and on the regional and national stage.
The council wants to transform its communications and community engagement capability. This is currently fragmented across the council and requires a clearer operating model, strong voice and, ultimately, measurable improvements in public engagement. The departure of the head of corporate office provides an opportunity to look again at how these services are arranged and managed. You will on defining and delivering a new communications and engagement operating model for the council, including digital, press, marketing and community engagement services.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in either communications or consultation and engagement at this senior level and demonstrable experience of developing and delivering effective strategies and approaches to service delivery.
This assignment is set for an initial period of up to 5 months but there could be potential for an extension beyond this. It is a part time role offering 4 days a week and our client offers hybrid working.
The rate offered is between £600 – £700/day Umbrella depending on your experience and this role is inside IR35.
