The predicted salary is between 40500 - 49500 £ per year.

Our client, a Local Authority based in East London, requires a Town Planner to work within their DM team to assist in a project to remove our clients planning application backlog.

You will be required to manage a large and varied caseload of planning applications and pre-applications and determining them within statutory timeframe and/or local time targets.

You will organise workloads and meet all timescales and project milestones.

You might also be required to oversee the work of junior officers.

Our client needs a Planner with at least 3 years of recent experience of working in a similar planning role and who can show good knowledge of the UK planning system and current planning legislation.

You will need a basic understanding of the context of planning policy on the planning decision process and you must be able to work well under pressure.

Public sector Development Management experience preferred, however suitable private sector experience will be considered.

Our client will pay up to £45p/hr inside IR35 depending on experience for this role.

This will initially be a 3-4 month contract but could potentially be extended beyond this and our client offers hybrid working arrangements.
