Environmental Protection Officer

Our client, based in South London, is looking for an EHO to work in the pollution team who is extremely proficient in statutory nuisance, licensing, pollution, and reactive noise work. As an EHO, you will be asked to initiate enforcement action, where necessary, relating to infringements of relevant legislation (Environmental Protection Act 1990).

You will need to deal with reactive complaints work, which will vary between specialities such as air quality, contaminated land, planning applications, and noise and nuisance investigations.

You will be asked to help with Statutory Nuisance complaint investigation and enforcement. Ideally, you will have some experience in a nuisance team dealing with all types of statutory nuisance, but primarily dealing with noise nuisance cases from all sources including domestic, industrial/commercial, and licensed premises.

You will be providing advice, but where required, you will organise and conduct follow-up investigation work; you will need to have a good grasp of relevant environmental protection legislation. Typical work includes noise and nuisance complaints.

The initial contract will be for 3 months and they will pay £30-£35PH Umbrella.
