Our client is a busy Local Authority in South London seeking a Town Planner to join their Development Management team for a contract role. You will lead on a caseload of householder, minor and prior approval applications. You will be expected to manage your own caseload independently and be a main point of contact for working with developers.
The successful candidate will be an established DM Planner who has worked in a Local Authority Planning Team previously. Ideally, you will be RTPI accredited, but it is not essential. An appropriate Town Planning degree level qualification is required.
The role is based in South London and the rate offered is up to £30/hr Umbrella depending on your experience. This role is inside IR35. Our client offers hybrid working with two days a week in the office and most officers working from home the remaining three days a week.
The initial contract will run until the end of September 2025, but it could be extended beyond this. Previous candidates have stayed in the role in excess of a year.
