b Overview /b p As Paralegal Manager in the PREF group, you will oversee the paralegal team across Real Estate, Banking, Construction, Planning and Environmental and Projects. You’ll lead line management, training, and career development within the new paralegal contribution framework while collaborating with technical line managers. You’ll report to the Operations Director and ensure adequate resourcing and quality in outputs. This role combines people leadership with process improvement in a fast-paced, client-facing legal environment. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Daily management of paralegals and issue resolution /li li Produce management reports /li li Pastoral care and welfare of team /li li Manage absences and ensure adequate cover /li li Oversee administrative support for the team /li li Support Operations Director with admin tasks, reports and diary management /li li Forecast and plan resource requirements /li li Recruitment and induction of new paralegals /li li Monitor performance against the paralegal contribution framework /li li Manage training, development and progression plans /li li Stakeholder management with challenging stakeholders and Client Partners /li li Lead projects to improve utilisation and working practices of the team /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Excellent people-management skills /li li Experience in line-managing paralegals across multiple practice areas /li li Not required to be a qualified lawyer /li li Ability to work with cross-office teams (Bristol, London, Reading) /li li Strong reporting and administrative capability /li /ul ul li people-management /li li stakeholder management /li li communication /li li reporting /li li resource forecasting /li li training and development planning /li /ul
