Building on our continued success, our innovative and growing Osborne Clarke Solutions (OCS) team is looking for an Innovation Solutions Architect, known internally as a Solutions Manager, to join us in Bristol or London. The role will focus on exploring and piloting AI technologies, data integrations, orchestration layers and emerging platforms to enhance legal service delivery, working closely with ITS, Change, and Risk & Compliance teams to develop better ways of working. The role has a strong R&D focus, collaborating with OCS and ITS leaders to identify, evaluate, and implement new AI tools, data integration solutions (including Boomi and MCPs), and explore how platforms such as PowerApps and CoPilot can be leveraged within our existing technology stack. We currently operate a hybrid working model, enabling us to benefit from both home and office working.
The Team: Osborne Clarke’s Solutions team plays a crucial role in helping clients explore exactly how they would like legal and related services to be delivered to maximise value to their businesses. The team is client‑led, developing new products and services to improve existing ones and deliver entirely new services to meet growing client needs. The team operates across the UK and Europe, with ex‑lawyers and technologists across locations. Our Solutions programme has two key goals: to respond to client demands for greater value, efficiency, and certainty from their lawyers while maintaining the highest quality, and to bring innovative ideas to the delivery of our current and new services. A significant and growing part of this innovation involves researching, piloting, and integrating AI technologies to transform how we deliver legal services across the firm. We want to ensure our lawyers have the best products and resources needed to provide the best possible service to our clients.
Key Role Responsibilities
- AI‑Driven Innovation & R&D: Spearhead initiatives to explore, pilot, and integrate existing and new AI technologies within the firm, collaborating closely with ITS, Change, and Risk & Compliance teams.
- Data integration opportunities: Research, evaluate, and pilot data integration solutions including Boomi, Model Context Protocols (MCPs), orchestration layers, and low‑code/no‑code platforms such as PowerApps and CoPilot to enhance service delivery and integrate with existing tools such as HighQ, Legora, and ContractExpress.
- Stakeholder engagement: Work with cross‑functional teams to identify use cases, run proof‑of‑concept pilots, and drive adoption of successful solutions across the firm.
- Solution delivery: Oversee and manage the delivery of solutions to internal and client teams, enabling adoption and integration with the OC technology stack.
- Configuration and automation: Build solutions through configuration of the OC technology stack, use of OCS coding tools, and development of automated documents for client or OC use.
- Testing and roadmap: Ensure solutions are thoroughly tested (including with clients) and plan/manage a roadmap for iterative improvements.
- Brand ambassador: Actively participate in the team’s product development process, including client feedback sessions, and represent Osborne Clarke Solutions at events and conferences.
We Are Looking For
- AI & Technology Experience: Demonstrated experience researching, evaluating, and piloting AI technologies and data integration platforms to solve business problems, with ability to work cross‑functionally with technology, change, and compliance teams.
- Familiarity with integration tools (e.g. Boomi), MCPs, orchestration layers, or low‑code/no‑code platforms (e.g. PowerApps, CoPilot).
- Experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Proven experience working with workflow and automation technology.
- Evidence of rapidly becoming a subject matter expert in new technologies.
- Senior stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable engaging with people and leading client‑facing conversations.
- Experience managing and accepting failure and developing resolution plans to evolve solutions.
