We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our Band 1 ratedConstruction team in Bristol. From a very well regarded base in the South West,our hugely experienced construction and engineering team is firmly rootedthroughout the UK and beyond, taking advantage of a strong overseas networkacross our international offices. This is a great opportunity to join a marketleading team and have a broad and exciting workload for clients who are leadersin their fields.

The practice

Ournon-contentious construction practice is truly comprehensive in scope andfeatures leading work on a national scale and is a practice that the firm isactively looking to expand to compliment and support Osborne Clarke\’s strategicdirection.

Weadvise on nationally important infrastructure projects, such as energygeneration (primarily through renewable sources), regeneration and iconicdevelopment projects, mixed use and residential development, commercial andlogistics projects and major retail developments.

Ourwork ranges from initial procurement advice, legal project management, throughto negotiating complex construction procurement agreements, whether bespoke orbased on the myriad of industry standard forms commonly used in the UK, andwhether leading or working alongside other advisers. We also work closely withour contentious construction, major projects, renewables, commercial realestate and banking and project finance teams.

Weadvise clients across a number of sectors who are leaders in their fields,including GLP, Foresight, RWE, Hochtief, Arlington, UPP, Pario, Amey, Greystar,Indurent, Cubex Land, Barratt and David Wilson Homes, Taylor Wimpey, InfraRed,Vistry Group, Octopus, Equitix, NGED, Conrad, Bluefield and Downing.

The Construction team in Bristol is led by Chambers ranked PhilipDavies and Alexandra Gower. The team also comprises of 2 further partners, 1Legal Director, 2 Associate Directors, 4 Senior Associates, 4 Associates, 2Trainee Solicitors and 1 Senior Paralegal.

Technical skills and experience

You will have knowledge and experience of Construction matterswhich will have been gained at a well-respected City or National firm. You willbe highly motivated and interested in getting involved in a broad range of workworking on different project types and across different sectors. You will beversatile and able to work across a range of different matters across differentsectors and will be used to working on matters where there are multipleinterested parties (for example where there are forward funding arrangements orthere is a project finance-led structure involved). Due to the nature of thework and the structure of the team, we are looking for a Senior Associatecandidate, although we will consider candidates with more or less experience.
