It’s an exciting time to join Osborne Clarke as we roll out our 2030 strategy which focuses on accelerating profitable and international growth. We're investing heavily in rapidly evolving markets, like LS&H, and in building our own capabilities including the creation of an AI native work environment. Joining us means working directly with our lawyers - not just delivering bids or projects, but advising and influencing to create real impact.
The role sits in one of our priority sectors and reports to the sector's dedicated Senior BD Manager for the sector. This team is responsible for working with our lawyers to deliver international opportunities; to win high-value clients and to cross sell more of our expertise, particularly that in Corporate, Commercial, and Regulatory. This is a fast paced, varied and exciting role with significant responsibilities across key client development, pipeline management and profile-raising.

- Manage sector budgets - ensuring all spend and activity supports the strategy.
- Work with Sector BD lead to build and maintain pipeline trackers (opportunities, pitch log, event follow-up, campaign leads, Growth Service opportunities, revenue and budget targets).
- Support specific LS&H client accounts with client mapping and action tracking.
- Take ownership of at least one Key Client relationship and support the client team.
- Collaborate with relevant lawyers and Event specialists to deliver successful events on budget (in terms of both cost and ROI) and to execute follow-up activities.
- Draft and execute communications plans, including briefing internal and external stakeholders, generating mailing lists and tracking/reporting success.
- Produce external communications (such as brochures, email campaigns, videos, etc). This will include re-purposing content for various channels and closely collaborating with our lawyers and Brand, Comms and Digital experts.
- Manage and support sector pitches, including updating team sheets and credentials documents.
- Lead the preparation of submissions for legal directories and relevant award submissions.
- Supervise Assistants on designated projects and initiatives.
We are seeking a candidate with excellent project management and communication skills, and a sector-focused business development background, from a legal or professional services environment. You will enjoy working in a busy environment on a mix of challenges and have a good understanding of the LS&H sector.
Key requirements:- Background knowledge and experience of working in the LS&H sector.
- Exceptionally organised, with a keen eye for detail, and highly literate and numerate (being comfortable with revenue, margin and client analysis).
- Demonstrable experience of managing multiple projects to completion and evaluating their effectiveness.
- Confidence in briefing partners and lawyers on sales and marketing initiatives, capturing clear information for implementation.
- Proactive in setting priorities and identifying the appropriate level of importance and urgency for projects and escalating resource or prioritisation issues where necessary.
- Able to anticipate the needs of partners involved in projects and respond in a timely and professional way.
- Excellent communication skills, building strong rapport across our sales, marketing and legal teams and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different jurisdictions.
- Confidence in reviewing and self-assessing projects and suggesting alternative ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

- Excellent IT skills, with experience of Microsoft Office programmes and InterAction or a similar CRM database.
