Role: Night Die-Cut Operator

Location: Letchworth

Hours: Night (Apply online only)

Salary: from £13.50 + holiday pay

Key Goal: To support the Production Managers and Supervisors in driving sales and growth for the business through supplying an outstanding level of service to the Account Management, Production and Operation teams.

Key responsibility and activities of Die-Cut Operator:

  • Competent setting and operation of the machinery.
  • A full understanding of the machines Safe System of Work.
  • A full understanding of the ISO9001 machine operation process.
  • Issuing material and recording labour on the Company MIS system.
  • Running and maintaining the machinery on a daily basis, ensuring it is running at optimal speed without jeopardising the quality of work.
  • Cleaning down machinery upon job completion/between jobs.
  • Maintaining housekeeping within the work environment.
  • Reporting machinery repairs needed to your supervisor.
  • Communicating to all team members the job status at shift change as well as communicating with other departments that the task is being produced following the correct process.
  • Ensuring all waste is segregated and disposed of correctly in accordance with ISO14001.
  • Ensuring all H&S procedures and policies are adhered to.
  • Carrying out other duties as required by the Shift Supervisors or Production Manager.
  • Establish a professional rapport with all internal teams.
  • To follow the training plan and be self-motivated in learning new things.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Some level of manufacturing experience.
  • Some understanding of an MIS system, to be computer literate.
  • A willingness to learn and develop.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • To be able to follow instruction.
  • A knowledge of substrates.
  • GCSE or equivalent level Maths and English.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
  • To be able to work flexibly to suit the business needs/busy times of the year.
