Trainee Production Buyer Letchworth, Hertfordshire £23,809.50+ DOE We’re excited to be supporting a leading retail marketing and production business in their search for a Trainee Production Buyer. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who’s keen to develop within purchasing, production, and supply chain management, while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, creative environment. The Role As a Trainee Production Buyer, you’ll provide vital support across account management, estimating, and production planning teams. You’ll be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, coordinating stock counts, and ensuring suppliers deliver on time and within budget. This role requires strong organisation, attention to detail, and great communication skills, with plenty of opportunity to grow into more senior roles such as Production Planner over time. Key Responsibilities Manage purchasing requests and requisitions in a timely and professional manner Source and procure ad-hoc job items and materials requested by account managers Coordinate monthly stock counts with supervisors and update systems accordingly Raise purchase orders, check acknowledgements, and maintain accurate records Monitor deliveries, chase suppliers, and provide updates to internal teams Handle faulty goods/materials by arranging returns, credits, or replacements Support production planning and estimating teams during busy periods Build strong working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and external partners What We’re Looking For No specific qualifications required (full training provided) Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) Excellent communication and teamwork skills Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn What’s On Offer A supportive, collaborative team environment The chance to develop skills in purchasing, production, and supply chain Career progression opportunities, including routes into Production Planning Regular appraisals and clear development goals Exposure to a wide variety of clients and projects in a growing sector Why Apply?
