An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and commercially minded HR / People & Culture Manager to join a growing, purpose-driven organisation during an exciting period of transformational change.

Who are we? Our client is a well-established charity with sites in Milton Keynes and Northampton. This is a hands-on HR role where you'll be a trusted partner to managers, helping shape culture, support employees and drive positive change.

Benefits:

  • £40,000 - £45,000 DOE
  • Permanent, full-time position
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • 4 days Milton Keynes / 1 day Northampton
  • Fully office-based

Duties of a People & Culture Manager:

  • Provide HR advice and guidance across the organisation
  • Manage Employee Relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absence and performance
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding and inductions
  • Coach and support managers
  • Advise on UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Support employee engagement and culture initiatives
  • Improve HR processes and ways of working
  • Support organisational change and wider People & Culture projects
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation

What we would like from you:

  • Strong operational HR experience
  • Solid Employee Relations experience
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent experience
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law
  • Commercially minded, proactive and confident
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Solutions-focused with the ability to use initiative
  • Organised, resilient and comfortable working at pace
  • Someone who can balance empathy with accountability
