OA are recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join our clients growing team. With over 40 years of expertise, they serve a wide range of industries, delivering reliable, high-quality, and custom-engineered systems tailored to specific client needs. Trusted by professionals across multiple sectors.
Location: Hitchin, Hertfordshire
Hours: 40 per week, 7am – 3pm Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:
- This person will be responsible for mechanical assembly and installation of components on industrial water treatment systems.
- This role also includes leading a 3-man team of mechanical fitters, to fit and align pumps, valves, brackets, gauges, and other mechanical elements on large industrial machinery.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical fitting skills, a high level of precision, and a proactive approach to quality and safety.
Skills and Experience:
- Mechanical fitting experience, preferably with industrial machinery or water treatment systems
- Familiarity with ABS/PVC-U assemblies an advantage
- Ability to lead a small team of fitters to meet deadlines efficiently
- Comfortable in a dynamic and busy workshop environment
